As a first generation Greek-American, Deno Seder has a special interest in Greek art, history and philosophy. While working with his wife, art director Anita Semjen, on a Holocaust-related exhibition at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, he learned about the “Righteous Among the Nations” from Greece and was inspired to write Miracle at Zakynthos. Seder’s previous book, Wild About Harry, a biography of a colorful Louisiana politician, featured a foreword by President Bill Clinton and was called a “wild and unusual tale” by Walter Isaacson, “uproarious” by Cokie Roberts
and “a story to inspire all of us” by Judy Woodruff. Seder lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
